“Two Worlds” is an especially personal piece as it acknowledges this search for connecting to the Korean culture in my current stage of life after having spent most of my life struggling to find ways to identify with it. As a biracial individual, part of my experience has been trying to understand what “buckets” I fit into because of societal expectations and feeling the need to choose where to fit in. However, as I’ve grown older, it’s no longer a balancing act but rather just soaking it all in and embracing both sides.
